What is required to convert from a generator to alternator charging system ?

We have a 1959 Jaguar and wish to install an GM alternator in place of the generator setup. What is required for this conversion.

Later models ran GM alt. First you'll need an alternator with right amp capacity, get one with internal regulator, and two spade connector for reg. You will have to make or adapt brackets to install on engine. Possible diff. size belt, you'll need to
