John Legend, I don't get the fanfare for this artist, do you?
He's a musician yes, he has talent sure, but to me his songs sound all very much alike with the same tone. He does these big production numbers and of course the big band helps, but the songs to me are very "blah." Why is he always selected
That's a great question. I feel he's a bit bland also. I think you hit the nail on the head about him being "safe". That's exactly what it is. I'm really waiting on him to branch out and do something different.
