Does $5000 including labour sound right for a complete Mercruiser 3.0 engine rebuild?

I don't have details to post, but the quote was for about $5000 to completely rebuild our I/O 3.0 Mercruiser 165 for our cadorette bowrider....I assume this is for new parts from mercruiser (I sure hope so)...this is with a bigger marina, haven't checked

New 3.0 for less than 5,000. Easy to install. Shop around.
