How do i change my air conditioner filter on my Allegiance 10?

I have an american standard Allegiance 10 and need to change the filter. first what kind of filter do I need and second how do I change it? the manual says call your local dealer.

The filter is either located in your furnace OR on the return air side.
Locate it and buy another.
Allegiance air conditioners do not have seperate filters.

Assuming you have an American Standard furnace look on the return
