What the proper way to relieve fuel pressure in a 99 saturn sl2 prior to changing the fuel filter?

I have heard to remove the fuse for the fuel pump and let the car run until it dies because of lack of pressure. I have also heard that i need to release the schrader valve and let it depressurize.. I also know that the saturn fuel filter is extra expensive
put on eye glasses. and use the schrader valve on top side of engine. good luck with your fuel filter.. and make sure you have the disconnect tool.. it's a a mass of lines that weave in and out of the back side of the engine.
