This video shows how to remove the brake drums to access the brake shoes.
You will need two 30mm long M10x1.5 bolts to screw into the two threaded holes in the front of the brake drums. Wind the bolts right in so that they touch the back plate of the hub and push against it, thus pushing the drum brake cover off the hub. Once the drum brake cover is loose it can be lifted away by hand, exposing the brake shoes.
